Four steps, start to finish
Roof or plumbing settled first, the water traced through the attic, then a written quote before any work.
Tell us when the stain changes
Only after rain, on dry days too, or only when a shower upstairs is used: that one answer separates roof water from house water, and it is asked before anyone drives over.
Rule the house out first
Bathrooms and laundry above the stain, supply runs and the AC condensate line in the attic are checked first.
Trace it up through the roof
Once it is rain, the attic is walked under the stain and the roof is read above it — boots, flashing, valleys, cracked or slipped tile — until the detail that let the water in is found.
Written quote, then the repair
The failed detail named, photographed and priced in writing before any work.

What to do while you wait for us
Most leaks give you a night's grace if you do a few things right. A few do not, and those are worth a call now.
Stop the damage
Move what you can out from under it, put a bucket down, and switch off any circuit with a light fixture or fan near the water.
Check it is raining
If it is dry outside and the stain is growing, shut the water off at the fixture above it or at the main. That is a pipe, not a roof.
Relieve a sagging ceiling
A small hole at the lowest point, over a bucket, lets trapped water out in a controlled way instead of bringing the ceiling down.
Stay off the tile
Concrete tile cracks underfoot and is slick when wet, and a storm roof on a hillside is how people get hurt. It can wait for a crew.
When the first storm of the season arrives, everyone calls at once
Worth knowing before you start calling around, and worth planning for before the rain returns.
Diamond Bar's leaks tend to announce themselves together: a long dry spell, then a storm, then a week in which every roofer in the area is triaging. A house with water coming in goes ahead of a house with an old stain that has not grown.
What that means in practice: a ceiling filling with water is a tarp tonight and a permanent repair once the roof is dry, because sealant does not bond to a wet surface. An old stain is best settled in a dry week — roof or plumbing, and if roof, repaired before the next rainy season rather than during it.
- Active water treated as same day where weather and daylight allow
- Tarp first, permanent repair on a dry roof
- Old stains booked in dry weeks, before the rain returns
- Told honestly if tonight is really tomorrow morning
